We sell glasses with a tinted lens. Below is what the published research actually shows, including the parts that do not help us. If you are deciding whether these are worth EUR 68, this page is the honest version.
The mechanism
Your eye contains a receptor that has nothing to do with seeing. Melanopsin cells in the retina report the time of day to the clock in your hypothalamus. They respond most strongly to a narrow slice of visible light, roughly 446 to 484 nanometres, which sits in the blue part of the spectrum.
Evening light in that band tells your brain it is still daytime. A tinted lens absorbs those wavelengths before they reach the retina. Red goes deepest. Amber blocks nearly as much while distorting colour less, which makes it easier to keep working in.

What is not established

That these glasses make you fall asleep faster. The best controlled analysis found a difference of about five minutes, which was not statistically significant.

That they improve sleep quality. A 2023 Cochrane review found three trials showing improvement and three showing none, and rated the evidence very low certainty.

That blue light from screens damages your eyes. There is no trial evidence for this, and we will not claim it.

That any lens colour is certified as blue blocking. No harmonised European standard exists for it, so nobody can hold that certificate.
ISO 8980-3:2022 contains no blue light requirement.
So should you buy them?
Here is the honest way to think about it. The mechanism is real and well measured: the lens removes the light that reaches your body clock. Whether that translates into better sleep for you specifically is not settled, and anyone telling you otherwise is going past the evidence.
